Ali Çınar Aslan Technical Portfolio
A personal technical portfolio documenting automotive restoration, diagnostic work, detailing, parts research and hands-on project logs. The main ongoing project is the OEM+ restoration of a 2004 Volkswagen Golf IV BFQ.
Background
I was born in Manisa on 23 August 2005 and completed my primary and secondary education in Balıkesir and Antalya. In 2019, I started at Abidin Pak-Pakmaya Anatolian High School with a social-sciences focus. In 2023, I entered the International Relations department at Ege University, but after the preparatory year I realized that the field did not match the hands-on technical path I wanted to follow.
I then redirected my focus toward motorsport mechanics and enrolled in Sports Management at Balıkesir University in 2025. During that period, I realized that the program did not offer the technical and mechanical depth I was looking for in motorsport. A curriculum change also removed practical qualifications such as coaching credentials from the graduation path, so I ended that education in February 2026.
After that point, I shifted my focus directly toward automotive technology, mechanical systems, and practical restoration work. My goal is to build hands-on experience until 2028 and then continue through the Ausbildung route as a professional technical specialization.
